So now the routes for Train Simulator 2022 are known - we'll take a detailed look at them today!
- Birmingham Cross City Line
The English route this year will include the "Cross City Line" in and around Birmingham. This runs from Linchfield to Redditch, is 50 km long and was opened in 1978 - but parts of the route have been in operation since 1837! This means that a challenging local route is included, which can also be served by the appropriate vehicle, the Class 323.
- Frankfurt - Koblenz
The line that will interest most here is most likely the German one. For this year, this is the "linke Rheinstrecke", which in the TS version is "only" from Koblenz to Frankfurt. This is a busy route, known - as the name suggests - for winding its way along the Rhine. It also comes with a Stadler Flirt 3 in the appropriate SÜDWEX design.
- NEC: Washington - Baltimore
The last route for the "basic" TS22 pack is the US Northeast Corridor route, which in this TS version, however, only includes the part from Washington to Baltimore - nevertheless, that is a considerable 60 kilometres. Two matching vehicles are included: the Acela and the ACS-64 with Amfleet cars.
So now you know all three "new" routes. What do you think of them and what would you have wished differently?
