125 New Locations and a Forum of Its Own: FrachtImperium Now Expands to 415 Destinations in 27 Countries!

From 290 to 415 locations

Before the update, the transport network consisted of 290 locations. With the 125 new destinations, the total rises to 415 locations in 27 countries – mathematically, the game world therefore grows by around 43 percent in one fell swoop. The expansion stretches from the Atlantic through southeastern Europe and far into the north.

A total of 13 countries are new additions: Switzerland, Portugal, the United Kingdom including Northern Ireland, Ireland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria and Greece. These countries contain a total of 105 of the new destinations. They include well-known cities such as London, Zurich, Lisbon, Dublin, Tallinn, Budapest, Bucharest and Athens.

Another 20 locations are distributed across four countries that were already present. Sweden, Finland, Norway and France each receive five additional destinations. As a result, new routes lead to places including Kiruna, Rovaniemi, Honningsvåg, Le Mans and Brest.

1,037 new clients change the freight market

The new locations are not merely additional points on the map. They are integrated into the freight market and freight contracts and can therefore appear as new starting points and destinations. In total, the update adds 1,037 additional clients, including suitable port locations for container freight.

However, new offers only appear as part of the regular offer generation. Immediately after the update, a suitable contract therefore does not have to be available in every new city at once. Existing contracts and agreements remain in place and are not deleted by the expansion.

The larger map is particularly relevant to FrachtImperium from a gameplay perspective. After all, we do not sit behind the wheel ourselves; instead, we plan in dispatching where drivers and vehicles should be sent. A contract with high remuneration can still be a bad route if a long empty run is required beforehand or no useful follow-up freight is waiting at the destination.

With 125 additional locations, considerably more possible chains of starting point, destination, follow-up contract and return freight arise. As a result, a transport that appears to be poorly paid at first glance can make strategic sense if it brings the vehicle to a region with many new clients. Conversely, a high individual payment can still lose value if the truck is subsequently positioned unfavorably.

35 new cities are available for founding a company

Those who establish a new transport company also have more choice. In total, 35 of the new cities can be selected as company headquarters: ten locations in Switzerland, ten in Portugal and 15 in the United Kingdom. The remaining 90 new locations are purely freight destinations and are not available as locations for founding a company.

This gives the very first decision in the game more weight. New companies still start with one driver, one vehicle and 75,000 euros in the company account. Whether the first route starts from Zurich, Lisbon or London subsequently affects which empty runs, follow-up freight and distances make sense for the only vehicle.

Later, these decisions interact even more closely. Different trucks, trailers, refrigerated vehicles, tankers and special transports require suitable contracts and driver qualifications. Added to this are partial loads, which allow compatible freight to be combined. The larger transport network therefore expands not only the selection, but also the number of possible dispatching decisions.

Ferries and road navigation are still missing

Despite the new island destinations, the existing distance calculation initially remains in place. Dedicated ferry connections and proper road navigation are not yet part of version 2.4.9. According to the developer, they are planned for a later expansion.

This is particularly important for destinations in the United Kingdom, Ireland or far to the north. The locations and transport connections are already present, but the geographical journey there is not yet represented by a complete road and ferry system. Version 2.4.9 therefore initially expands the game's economic network; the more detailed route logic is to follow later.

A dedicated forum as an alternative to Discord

Alongside the larger game world, there is now a second important innovation: at forum.frachtimperium.de a dedicated FrachtImperium forum is now available. Those who do not use Discord can connect with other players there, ask questions and follow news about the game.

The forum brings together announcements, patch notes, maintenance information, server status, guides, frequently asked questions and known issues, among other things. The patch notes for version 2.4.9 were also published there. After registering, players can link their game account to their forum profile using their username and player ID, thereby gaining access to additional areas.

A private ticket system is also available for individual problems. It can be used, for example, to submit errors in the game logic or user interface, problems with payments and accounts, and other concerns directly to support and administration. The tickets are visible only to the respective user and the responsible team members.

It is also practical that the forum is operated separately from the actual game server. Should the game site or server go down, the forum remains accessible, according to the operator. Players can therefore continue to check the server status, read information about maintenance work and stay in contact with support.

The transport network is getting bigger – and the community more accessible

Version 2.4.9 is not a minor numerical update for FrachtImperium. 125 new locations, 13 additional countries, 1,037 clients and 35 new cities for founding companies expand precisely the area on which the actual game concept is based: dispatching vehicles so that individual contracts form the most sensible transport chain possible.

The new forum complements this expansion in another important area. FrachtImperium is no longer so heavily dependent on Discord for communication and support. Players who prefer classic forums or deliberately do not use Discord in particular now have a permanently accessible point of contact with patch notes, help topics and direct ticket support.
