City Transport Simulator 2026 now heads to Vienna: Three real routes, ULF and over 1,000 buildings!
Next, City Transport Simulator 2026 is heading to Austria. NPLAY and ViewApp have unveiled the Vienna Expansion, which will be available from October 13, 2026. The focus is on three real Wiener Linien routes: tram lines 37 and 38 as well as bus route 35A.
On Line 37, players travel from Schottentor to Hohe Warte. Also starting at Schottentor, Line 38 leads to Grinzing. Those who prefer traveling by bus take over the 35A between Spittelau and Salmannsdorf, whose route runs through Döbling, among other places. This means the three lines pass through different areas of Vienna.
More than 1,000 buildings have been recreated realistically for the new map. Not only individual structures are based on real Vienna. Road layouts, stops and the surroundings along the routes have also been implemented using their real-world counterparts. As a result, numerous streets and characteristic locations in the city should be recognizable.
The two tram lines begin in the Schottentor area and then head in different directions. While Line 37 goes to Hohe Warte, Line 38 ends in Grinzing. The 35A, on the other hand, begins in Spittelau and runs through Döbling to Salmannsdorf. Historical buildings, public squares and Heurigen areas typical of Vienna can be found along the routes.
The rest of the city life is also intended to be adapted accordingly to Vienna. NPLAY mentions authentic AI traffic as well as dynamic passengers and pedestrians, who will be traveling on and along the new routes.
For the two tram lines, the expansion brings the ULF – Ultra Low Floor tram. Both the ULF A and the longer ULF B are included. In addition to the exterior models, driver’s cabs and passenger areas have also been implemented.
On the 35A, players switch to the bus instead. Vehicles of the Citaro C2 in Wiener Linien livery are available here. Alongside the solo bus, the articulated-bus variant is also part of the Vienna package. This means the Vienna Expansion includes both full bus and tram operations.
Vienna is also included in the Season Pass!
The Vienna Expansion launches on October 13, 2026 and will cost €49.99. The price consists of just under €30 for the new Vienna map and just under €20 for the included vehicles. The shop page is already online, while the expansion itself will become available for purchase at release.

From October 13, the three Viennese routes 37, 38 and 35A will therefore be available in City Transport Simulator 2026 for the first time. Two tram routes, one bus route, several Viennese vehicles and the environment built with more than 1,000 buildings form the core of the new expansion.
Which of the three Viennese routes would you drive first in City Transport Simulator 2026: Line 37 to Hohe Warte, Line 38 to Grinzing or the 35A to Salmannsdorf? Are you more excited about the ULF trams or the Citaro C2 or articulated bus? Do you know the routes from real Vienna?
