Players looking for an environment that differs substantially from Europe will quickly encounter Java Road Revolution. Developed by Septian_MR, the map currently has 186,793 downloads, making it one of the most widely downloaded map projects available through TruckyMods. Only a small number of ETS2 maps on the platform reach comparable figures.

The central location is the Indonesian capital of Jakarta. Instead of quiet country roads, players encounter broad urban motorways, dense development, industrial areas and numerous transport junctions. Regions of West Java and Banten provide additional variety, combining modern metropolitan areas with suburbs and more rural roads.

Its recreated logistics hubs are particularly notable. Tanjung Priok Port is one of the project’s most important freight locations. Merak Ferry Port connects Java with Sumatra, while Soekarno-Hatta Airport provides additional air-freight destinations. The map also contains more than ten bus terminals, including Pulo Gebang.

Development has continued since June 2022. Later versions added or substantially reworked Cilegon, Merak, Bekasi and further areas around Jakarta, Tangerang, Depok and Bogor. Several sections of Jakarta’s inner and outer ring roads have also been rebuilt.

The currently available release is version 0.92a. It is listed for ETS2 1.59 and 1.60 and includes further adjustments and bug fixes. The previous major version 0.90 extensively reworked Merak Port, the centre and industrial districts of Cilegon, and the Tangerang–Merak Toll Road.

Accessibility is one of its major advantages. According to the project page, the linked Type A standard version does not require any official map DLCs. However, players need a suitable background or zoom mod to display Indonesia’s position correctly on the world map and GPS.

Java Road Revolution remains an ongoing project. The developer intends to expand beyond the areas currently represented.
