Some of the best-known ProMods locations disappeared from the map following Nordic Horizons. Version 2.84 now begins their return: two Finnish cities are coming back, two Norwegian background locations become real delivery destinations, and an important connection between Scandinavia and Germany is being refreshed.

Following the release of Nordic Horizons, ProMods had to merge several of its own areas with the new official SCS map. Version 2.82 returned the first former ProMods locations to the region. Version 2.84 continues that work with another strong focus on Scandinavia.

The largest return is Kittilä in Finnish Lapland. The location has been completely redesigned to fit the Nordic Horizons environment. It is connected by the long Highway 955 and the western Rv80. A large custom-built railway depot will also appear along this route.

Savonlinna is also returning. The Finnish city sits in the middle of a landscape dominated by lakes. Its roads cross several bridges and pass between large areas of water, creating a driving experience that differs noticeably from the open roads of Lapland.

In Denmark, Rødbyhavn is being refreshed. The location and its access road are particularly important because of the ferry connection between Scandinavia and mainland Europe. ProMods intends to bring this frequently used gateway up to the current visual standard of the map.

In Norway, Kongsvinger and Molde are receiving larger upgrades. Both already appeared as scenery on the official map but offered little reason to stop. ProMods is giving them names and deliverable companies, turning two background locations into proper destinations for contracts.
