Circular routes, Vienna and intercity services: This is the CTS roadmap through 2027!
The largest third-quarter change concerns route operations. Buses and trams will be able to operate circular routes and loops. Buses will additionally receive express routes. Stops may be skipped while driving when nobody is waiting and no passenger wants to alight, allowing services to react more closely to actual demand.
Passenger Mode is also being expanded. In Free Roam, we will be able to sit inside a vehicle and experience the journey as a passenger. Weather will also become adjustable directly through the pause menu.
The Tatra KT4D, which was still listed for the third quarter on the roadmap, has already been released. The classic tram has been available individually and through the Season Pass since June 30, featuring pedal controls and multiple-unit operation.
The scope becomes considerably larger in the fourth quarter. Special services and free driving are planned alongside the Vienna Bus & Tram map DLC. Vienna contains two tram routes, one bus route, more than 1,000 newly created buildings and suitable variants of ULF A, ULF B and Citybus C2. The modern Flexity Graz is also scheduled for the same quarter.
The roadmap does not end with Vienna. Passenger displays inside vehicles, a photo and camera mode, telemetry or Sim Dashboard support and an expansion of the fictional city of Tramau are planned for 2027. This map expansion is intended to introduce intercity services and extend operations beyond the existing urban network.
Specific release dates have not yet been provided for most of these additions. The developers also state that content and timeframes may change during production, with further roadmap items to be revealed later.

The CTS 2026 Season Pass normally costs €64.99 and includes the paid content scheduled for 2026. According to the publisher, it offers savings of approximately 40 percent compared with purchasing each item individually.
