Do not drive the train – save the entire station: Train Station Project introduced!

Train Station Project is not a traditional train simulator. You do not drive a locomotive across long routes. Instead, you look after the place where every journey begins and ends: the station. Your job is to renovate a neglected building, keep visitors comfortable and gradually turn it into a functioning business.

At the beginning, much of the work is manual. Accumulated rubbish must be removed, damaged equipment repaired, floors replaced and walls repainted. A well-maintained station should attract more passengers and increase the revenue generated by its services.

From a ticket counter to a small station world

Your first source of income is ticket sales. More services are planned later, including a mail and parcel point, a lost-property office, personal shops, vending machines and even an arcade. The usable area of the building increases with each upgrade.

Supplies also need to be organised. Storage space and resources are limited, so products for the shop, vending machines and your office must be ordered regularly. Train Station Project therefore combines renovation with traditional resource and business management.

You will not work alone forever

As the station grows, the number of tasks increases. You will eventually be able to employ staff and invest in employee housing to expand your team. In the long term, you will no longer need to sell every ticket or complete every job yourself, but instead coordinate the overall operation.

The trains are not merely background scenery either. In addition to watching passenger services pass through the station, you can earn additional money by cleaning railway carriages. More responsible jobs are planned to unlock as your permissions increase, although these assignments remain optional.

Free demo receives 99 percent approval

The free demo has been available on Steam since August 15, 2025. Currently, 99 percent of its 473 user reviews are positive. It includes the core renovation and management systems as well as part of the station upgrade progression. The station building and bathrooms can be upgraded to Tier 3 of 6, while later features such as the mini-market, staff house, arcade, photo booths and coin laundry are reserved for the full version.

Train Station Project is planned as a single-player title and will include a German interface and German subtitles, among other supported languages. The Steam page does not yet list a specific release date.

The game is therefore less suited to players looking for detailed train controls. It may be much more interesting for fans of renovation, job and management simulators. The station is not merely the backdrop here – it is the entire project.
