Bus Station Simulator announced: A forgotten terminal is supposed to become a real transport hub!
With Bus Station Simulator, a new simulator has been announced that looks at the bus theme from a different perspective. Instead of driving a line yourself, you take over an old, neglected bus station on the outskirts of Winston Springs. The goal is to turn this run-down terminal back into an important transport hub for the city, passengers and bus companies.
The start is intentionally small. At the beginning, there is only one platform, one worn-out bus, a run-down waiting hall and a few old benches. Before the bus station can really work, players need to clean up, unlock restrooms, set up signage and create basic facilities for passengers. Later, better benches, departure boards, more comfortable waiting areas and additional platforms follow.
This makes Bus Station Simulator less of a classic driving simulator and much more of a management game. Players have to organise the station’s daily operations. Different bus companies and intermediaries send their vehicles, while schedules and platform assignments need to be coordinated so buses can arrive, stop and depart without the entire operation falling apart. Punctuality, passenger flow and unexpected situations are meant to play a role.
It is also interesting that the game is not meant to consist only of tables and menus. According to the description, there are simple, direct tasks at the platforms and around the infrastructure. This suggests that players will not only manage things abstractly, but also carry out tasks on site. This mix of management and hands-on actions could help Bus Station Simulator stand apart from pure tycoon games.
Beyond the platforms, smaller shops and facilities can also be developed. Mentioned examples include drink and snack vending machines, a newsstand, a post office, upgraded restrooms and a lost-and-found office. These facilities influence passenger comfort, finances and the station’s reputation. The game therefore turns the bus station not only into a stop, but into a small business area.
As the operation grows, staff are added as well. At first, you handle many things yourself: cleaning, helping passengers, running the shop and organising the schedule. Later, employees can be hired, including cashiers, cleaners, kiosk workers or security. This lets you decide which tasks you still want to handle personally and which ones you want to delegate.
Order and safety are also part of the game. The Steam page mentions pickpockets, graffiti vandals and petty troublemakers. Players can warn them off, call security or report incidents. The condition of the bus station affects its reputation and the willingness of bus companies to cooperate with the terminal.
The setting is interesting too. According to the description, Winston Springs is already known from the world of Car Dealer Simulator. Bus Station Simulator therefore expands this city with another piece. Players who know characters such as Little Sam should feel at home more quickly. Garage Monkeys seems to be building a connected simulation world around different businesses and transport-related themes.
In terms of gameplay, Bus Station Simulator is not supposed to punish players too harshly. The description presents it as an accessible business simulation focused on everyday management, reputation and service development, without punishing players for every mistake. A relaxed playstyle is also supposed to be possible. At the same time, growth depends on planning, decisions and attention to detail.
The online co-op will likely be especially important for many players. Bus Station Simulator is planned to be playable not only alone, but also together with friends. In a station with cleaning, platform planning, shops, passenger assistance and security problems, co-op could work well because tasks can be naturally divided.
What remains open is how deep the simulation will ultimately be. The Steam page lists many systems, but not yet final details on overall scope, number of buses, terminal size, long-term motivation or concrete mechanics later in the game. A specific release date is also not yet available. Currently, only Q2 2027 is listed as the planned release window.
Overall, Bus Station Simulator sounds like an interesting change of perspective. The focus is not the bus driver, but the place where many trips begin and end. Anyone who likes buses but is more interested in management, expansion, passenger flow and terminal operations should keep an eye on the project.
