Every CTS request sounds small—until a developer actually has to build it!
The wish lists for City Transport Simulator 2026 are long. Some players want additional buses and trams, while others request larger maps, more operating functions, new passenger reactions, or further possibilities for the economy mode.
There is nothing wrong with that. Many useful additions begin as a request from the community. At the same time, we should briefly consider what implementing each idea actually involves.
A supposedly small feature rarely consists only of adding a switch somewhere. It has to be programmed, designed, translated, and tested with different vehicles. It must then function on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox without damaging other systems.
A new vehicle is also much more than an attractive 3D model. It requires controls, handling, sounds, displays, doors, lighting, passenger areas, AI operation, and extensive testing. What appears to us as one individual request can represent weeks of work for a small team.
That is why the decisive question is not only: Would this feature be nice?
The more important questions are: How many players would benefit from it, how often would it be used, and what might have to be postponed to create it?
A highly specific detail for one particular vehicle may be a good idea. However, the same resources could perhaps be used to fix crashes, improve performance, or complete a function affecting every bus and tram.
This does not mean that only large requests are justified. Small details often make a simulation believable and personal. However, we should distinguish between something genuinely missing from regular gameplay and something that would only remain interesting for a few minutes.
ViewApp provides a direct way to submit feature suggestions and put them to a community vote through its official Discord. This shows which ideas are supported not only by one individual, but by larger parts of the community. Particularly popular suggestions have already been considered and, in some cases, implemented.

A high number of votes still does not automatically mean that a feature can be created immediately. Some ideas are technically much more difficult than they sound. Others may not fit the current plans or would require major changes to existing systems.
That is why a useful suggestion should be as clear as possible: What exactly is missing? In which situation would the feature help? How frequently would players use it? Is there perhaps a simpler solution requiring less development time?
Ultimately, we are allowed and encouraged to share requests. CTS 2026 continues to evolve, and community feedback is part of that process. However, it is also fair to consider the size of the team. Every working hour can only be used once.
Before writing the next extensive wish list, one honest question is therefore worthwhile: Is this feature genuinely important to me—or would the development time be better invested elsewhere?
