The Euro Truck Simulator 2 – Holland Style Tuning Pack is now available. SCS Software describes the newly released DLC as the largest tuning package the studio has developed for its games so far. It contains dozens of new interior and exterior accessories alongside 23 customisable paint jobs.
The name may initially suggest covering a truck with as much chrome, lighting, and conspicuous equipment as possible. However, SCS describes the real Holland Style differently. Its defining characteristics are coordinated colours, symmetry, clean lines, attention to detail, and a comparatively limited use of chrome.
According to SCS, the origins of this style reach back to the 1970s. Dutch drivers increasingly began treating their trucks not only as working vehicles, but also as something personal. The important factor was not necessarily the number of accessories. The complete truck was intended to appear like one carefully planned design.
This distinction is also relevant to ETS 2. Many virtual trucks currently combine individual tuning parts that look attractive on their own but do not necessarily work together. The new package is intended to make it easier to treat paintwork, lighting, mudflaps, and decorations as parts of one consistent design.
For the exterior, the DLC includes additional horns, auxiliary and marker lights, Danish lights, the familiar double burners, and long mudflaps. Several light boxes are also provided for high-roof sleeper cabs. These illuminated roof structures are among the most noticeable elements of many customised show trucks.
The interior receives attention as well. Further light boxes, steering wheels, pennants, toys, and decorations are available inside the cab. The driver’s workplace can therefore be coordinated with the exterior instead of existing as a separate design.
Not every included object was designed solely by SCS. The studio cooperated with several real manufacturers from the truck-tuning industry. Licensed double burners, horns, auxiliary lights, and cushions come from Omnius. Go-In-Style supplied items including long mudflaps, pennants, and air fresheners. TruckJunkie also contributed long mudflaps, pennants, and interior light boxes.
Paintwork forms another major part of the package. It includes 23 designs whose colours can be changed. Each paint job contains three RGB areas that players can configure themselves. A design is therefore not permanently tied to one predetermined colour combination.
One paint job is shared across all supported trucks. Eleven vehicle groups additionally receive two unique designs each. These have been adapted to the respective cab shapes and differ between groups.
The supported groups include Volvo FH Series 4, 5, and 6 together, alongside the older third-generation Volvo FH. Scania R and S, Scania R 2009 and Streamline, the Iveco S-Way, New Generation DAF and DAF XD, plus the older DAF XF 105 and XF Euro 6 are also covered.
The current MAN TGX generation, MAN TGX Euro 6, Renault Trucks T, and Mercedes-Benz New Actros receive their own pairs of paint jobs as well. The package therefore covers a large section of the existing ETS2 fleet.
However, an important distinction applies to compatibility. Ordinary interior and exterior accessories can generally be used across all trucks wherever the model provides suitable attachment points. The new light boxes are restricted to the officially listed vehicle groups.
SCS has already announced plans to update the DLC for future trucks. This does not automatically mean that every item will become compatible with every upcoming vehicle. Cab shape and available accessory points will remain decisive.
The original concept emerged during development of the Benelux rework. An SCS 2D vehicle graphic designer initially wanted to create a paint-job DLC celebrating the renewed Netherlands. That idea eventually developed into a considerably larger package containing paintwork, exterior parts, and interior accessories.
The community also influenced the project. According to SCS, Holland Style was among the most frequently requested customisation themes. Several included items were directly inspired by player suggestions.
The DLC does not replace previous tuning packs. It can be combined with vehicle-specific packages for DAF, Scania, Volvo, Renault, and Mercedes-Benz, along with other accessory DLCs. Parts from several packs can therefore be used together.
Whether the result genuinely resembles a clean Holland Style truck remains our decision. The DLC supplies the components but does not prevent players from installing every light, colour, and decoration simultaneously. The line between a carefully planned show truck and an overloaded Christmas tree still depends on personal taste.
That freedom may be the real appeal of the pack. It does not only provide one fixed appearance, but expands the virtual customisation system. Adjustable paint colours allow the same design to be used with different company colours while preserving a coordinated appearance.
The Holland Style Tuning Pack requires the Euro Truck Simulator 2 base game and is sold separately through Steam. It does not contain a new map, cargo, or truck. Its complete focus is the visual customisation of existing vehicles.
The package is therefore primarily intended for players who spend significant time in the workshop and view their truck as more than an interchangeable tractor unit. Anyone who generally drives factory-standard vehicles will not receive a new gameplay system. For tuning enthusiasts, however, it is one of the most extensive official accessory collections SCS has released.
What will your Holland Style truck look like: carefully coordinated colours and clean lines—or will you still attach every available light, horn, and light box at the same time?
