From the short C2K to the almost 21-meter-long CapaCity L: This OMSI 2 bus pack brings 30 C2s to the game for free!
If you regularly play OMSI 2 you know the problem: At some point, many buses start to feel the same or cover only a small area. That is exactly where Mx200’s bus pack comes in—and it delivers one of the most extensive free expansions currently available.
At the center is the second-generation Mercedes-Benz Citaro, more precisely the C2 from the 2011 to 2022 model years. And this is not just a single model, but an entire range. In total, you get 30 different variants—from the compact C2K at around 10 meters to the almost 21-meter-long Capacity L. In principle, the pack covers everything you need for everyday use in OMSI.
What makes the whole thing particularly interesting is that the models are not merely visually different, but can also be customized using numerous setvars. So you can put together your own “reference bus” and configure the vehicle exactly as you know it from your region.
The pack is also interesting from a historical perspective. It depicts the development of the Citaro C2 quite accurately—from the first models from 2011 through to newer variants with redesigned interior styling. This includes changes such as adapted roof structures or modernized ceiling lighting. These are details you may not consciously notice immediately in everyday life, but in the game they make all the difference.
Incidentally, development itself began back in 2019 and was rather slow at first. By now, however, it has become a fairly large project that is continuously being expanded. And you can feel that in the game, too: The pack does not feel like a quick mod, but like something that has grown over a longer period of time.
Of course, not everything is perfect—and that is also communicated openly. Errors and improvements are actively collected, and further content is already planned. This keeps the project lively and allows it to continue developing.
All in all, you get a free bus pack here that has long since become standard for many players. If you play OMSI regularly, there is a fairly high chance that sooner or later you will end up using exactly this mod anyway. And if not—now is probably the right time to try it out.
