ETS 2 is changing Europe completely – over 100 new bus stations are coming for the Coaches DLC!

For the upcoming Coaches DLC, the map world of Euro Truck Simulator 2 is being significantly expanded and adjusted in many places. A central focus lies on the bus stations as new hubs for coach traffic.

Existing locations on the map are being extensively reworked. A large part of the older bus station models that have already been in the game for many years is being rebuilt or visually and functionally adjusted. In total, this affects over 100 places on the ETS 2 map, where bus stations are intended to play a central role in the future.

It does not stop at the reworking of existing stations. In addition, completely new bus stations and stops are being added in many places in order to further expand the coverage across Europe. Especially in larger cities, new central stopping points are to be created. Where a classic bus station does not fit into the map scale, smaller inner-city stops are in some cases being integrated as an alternative.

Another focus lies on the stronger integration into the surrounding environment. While older bus stations often appeared rather isolated, the new stations are intended to fit more naturally into the cityscape and road network. This creates a significantly more coherent coach network within the existing game world overall.

In addition, distinctive real-life bus stations have been used as a template in some places. Especially well-known or striking stations in Europe are intended to be implemented in a recognizable way wherever the scale allows it.

The stations will also play a larger role in gameplay. Depending on the location, approach, available space and maneuvering room differ significantly. Smaller stops in city centers are likely to provide a different driving feel than larger central bus stations. In some cases, other vehicles may already be standing on site, making entry and stopping require more precise maneuvering.

It is also important: the map adjustments and new stations are also available independently of the Coaches DLC, provided they affect the base map or existing map DLCs. This means that players without the coach DLC will also benefit from the map improvements.

In addition, it is already planned to continue expanding the bus stations after release and to integrate them into new map areas and DLCs in the future.
