Almost everyone knows this one: The MAN Lion’s Coach is coming to the ETS 2 Coaches DLC!
With the Coaches expansion, Euro Truck Simulator 2 is expanding the game with coaches and therefore with a new area alongside classic freight transport. In the future, it will no longer be only about cargo, but also about transporting virtual passengers over longer distances.
For this, the MAN Lion’s Coach is being integrated as a model that many already know from real life. Especially on European motorways and long-distance coach routes, this vehicle has been regularly seen for years. Exactly this recognition factor is likely to be a central point for many players.
In the game, the bus is powered by a D26 engine and is designed for longer journeys across motorways and country roads. This means the vehicle fits directly into the new DLC concept, in which longer routes and passenger transport are the main focus.
The interior is also based on a classic coach layout. Large windows, rows of seats and an open structure ensure that the typical travel coach feeling remains intact. Especially in combination with the new passenger mechanics, this area is likely to play an important role.
In addition, the MAN Lion’s Coach can be driven in two variants: as a 4×2 version and as a 6×2 configuration. There are also several customization options for seats, curtains and wheel covers, allowing the vehicle to be visually adapted to your own fleet.
The images shown so far are still from development, but they already provide a good impression of how the vehicle is being implemented in the game. Precisely because this model is so present in real road traffic, it is likely to be one of the most recognizable vehicles in the upcoming DLC.
Do you know the MAN Lion’s Coach from real life? Have you ever travelled in one? Are you looking forward to the Coaches DLC?
