The Bus full release – and THIS is how many players showed up?!
Looking at the numbers, the first thing you notice is what many would expect. On a normal day, The Bus usually had around 500 concurrent players in the evening. That’s the baseline the game has been sitting on for a while. Solid, but not huge.
With the full release, things change. More people jump in, more players want to see what has improved, and some are giving the game another chance. And that shows in the numbers. Yesterday evening, the peak was almost 1100 concurrent players. More than double the usual amount.
At first glance, that looks like exactly what you want from a release. More activity, more attention, more life. It’s like a station during rush hour – suddenly everything feels more alive.
But here’s where it gets really interesting. If you look back at the Early Access phase, the peak back then was around 1660 concurrent players. And that’s where the discussion really starts.
Because now the current numbers feel both strong and a bit surprising at the same time. Why was the peak higher back then? Was it the initial curiosity? The situation at the time? Or do players react differently to a full release today?
This is exactly where the community splits. Some say over 1000 players is a strong sign that interest is still there. Others compare it to 1660 and wonder if more was possible.
At the end, it’s what numbers always are: a snapshot. But one that creates discussion, comparison and shows exactly what’s happening right now. A game being judged again – by you, by the community, by everyone at the same time.
👉 So now it’s your turn: is 1100 concurrent players a success – or did you expect more? Did you play The Bus yesterday? Were you part of the player count?
