ETS2 Update 1.59 adds Volvo test track – here’s what’s coming!!

With update 1.59, Euro Truck Simulator 2 is adding the Volvo Trucks Experience Center in Göteborg. This introduces a new type of location focused on testing rather than regular transport routes.

The site combines presentation areas with a specially designed driving facility. Instead of standard roads, you will encounter a track built to simulate different driving conditions.

These include wide curves, tighter sections, elevation changes and varied road surfaces. It’s more like testing your truck than simply completing deliveries.

The idea is to allow players to evaluate vehicle behavior under controlled conditions. Handling, braking and stability become more noticeable here than in everyday gameplay.

The area is said to be recreated close to a 1:1 scale, allowing players to explore both the track and its surroundings.

One notable detail is that the location cannot be found via GPS. You will need to discover it yourself while driving through Göteborg.

To access the area, players will need the Scandinavia DLC, as the location is based in Sweden.
