Which bus is included in the Numazu add-on for OMSI 2?

The “Project Numazu” add-on includes a Japanese city bus based on the second-generation Isuzu Erga. This means the vehicle is modeled after a real bus that is commonly used in Japan’s public transport system.

According to the developers, the goal was to stay as close as possible to the real-life counterpart. This includes the layout of the driver’s cab as well as the overall sound design. Engine sounds and typical operational noises are designed to reflect real-world references.

Inside the bus, the layout differs from many European or German vehicles. It includes priority seating areas, a dedicated wheelchair space and signage based on real Japanese buses.

The ticketing and payment system is also adapted to Japanese standards. It includes typical ticket sounds and passenger interactions during boarding. The system resembles contactless card-based systems commonly used in public transport.

The destination displays use Kanji and Kana and are visible on the front, sides and rear of the bus. This aligns the visual presentation of the vehicle with the real-world setting.

The driver’s workspace is interactive and includes elements such as sun visors, switches, climate controls and various functional instruments. The layout follows a right-hand drive configuration.

Since Japan uses left-hand traffic, the bus is designed accordingly. Players will drive from the right side while navigating traffic on the left side of the road.
