Only 3 days until The Bus full release – what exactly happens on March 26?

On March 26, 2026, The Bus officially leaves Early Access. Publisher Aerosoft and developer TML-Studios will release the complete version of the Berlin bus simulator on Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A physical PlayStation 5 edition will also be available at launch.

The game recreates parts of Berlin in a 1:1 scale. While driving through the city, you will pass well-known landmarks such as the Victory Column, the Brandenburg Gate, and Alexanderplatz. The goal is to place players behind the wheel of a city bus in a city environment that closely resembles the real location.

Several bus routes are included at launch. These are TXL, 100, 123, 142, 147, 200, 245 and 300, connecting different parts of Berlin. Depending on the route, you will drive through central districts or quieter areas of the city.

Players can drive licensed buses from manufacturers such as MAN, VDL and Scania. Vehicles include the MAN Lion’s City double-decker, the Scania Citywide in solo and articulated versions, and the VDL Citea LLE. Additional buses such as the Galaxis Urban and an electric city bus are also available.

During your runs, you transport passengers across the city, sell tickets and deal with a living environment that includes AI traffic, pedestrians and complex traffic light systems. The city also changes through day and night cycles, different seasons, and dynamic weather conditions.

The game offers different gameplay options. In the career economy mode, you build and manage your own bus company. In freeplay mode, you can freely choose which route to drive. On PC, there is also a multiplayer freeplay mode where multiple players can drive together.

Customization features are also included. Players can design buses using a repaint system, while additional route, line and timetable editors allow players to create their own content. On PC, a free Unreal Engine 5 modding editor will also be available.

However, some features remain exclusive to the PC version. Multiplayer and modding tools are not available on consoles.

If everything goes according to plan, March 26 marks a new stage for The Bus. After its long Early Access journey, the simulator will finally launch as a full game – and many players will probably ask themselves one simple question: which route should you drive first?
