With City Transport Simulator 2026, bus driving becomes a bit more realistic – and maybe slightly more hectic. Starting April 14, players will not only drive routes but also handle a new responsibility: selling tickets to passengers.
This may sound like a small feature, but it plays a big role in real bus operations. Everyone knows the classic moment: the door opens, a passenger steps in and says, “One ticket, please.” That exact moment will now become part of the simulator.
In other words, the bus driver becomes a small-scale ticket seller. While driving through the city, you will also have to deal with passengers and their tickets.
One particularly exciting detail is related to the new Citybus C2, which will be released as a DLC on April 14. This bus will include an IVU Ticketbox.
For many bus enthusiasts, this is a very recognizable piece of equipment. In real buses, the ticketbox is the central device where drivers handle ticket sales and payments.
Of course, things will probably stay a bit calmer in the simulator than in real life. But details like this can make a simulation feel much more authentic.
It’s a bit like cooking: the main ingredients are buses, routes and stops – but the small spices make the dish truly interesting. And ticket selling is definitely one of those spices.

With this addition, City Transport Simulator 2026 moves one step closer to the real everyday life of a bus driver. And maybe, while driving your route after April 14, you’ll find yourself thinking: “Tickets please!”
