Sunshine, rain or snow – CTS 2026 adds dynamic weather!

Outside, the sun is slowly returning and spring is getting closer. But in City Transport Simulator 2026, the weather will soon become much more varied. A feature that many players have been asking for for a long time is finally coming: weather.

Many players know this feeling in simulation games: the city looks good, the vehicles are detailed, everything works – but something still feels missing. That was also the case for a long time in City Transport Simulator. One important element was missing: rain, snow and changing weather conditions.

With City Transport Simulator 2026, launching on April 14, this will finally change. The simulator will introduce a dynamic weather system, allowing players to drive in rain, snow or sunshine whenever they want.

Personally, I have always supported this feature because weather can completely change the atmosphere of a simulation. Anyone who has ever driven a bus during heavy rain or snowfall knows how different the experience can feel.

Suddenly the streets look different, lights reflect on wet asphalt and every drive feels unique. It’s similar to real life: a route you normally drive in sunshine feels completely different during a rainy evening.

Small features like this can have a big impact on immersion. Instead of driving under the same conditions every time, the game becomes more dynamic. One day you might enjoy a quiet sunny route, the next day you could drive through the city during heavy rain or snowfall.

And that’s exactly why this feature might be bigger than it seems at first glance. Weather doesn’t just change how the city looks – it changes the entire mood of the simulation.
