Weserbergland is coming to the ETS2 Westfalen Map! First preview of one of the final regions!
The Weserbergland is one of the most well-known landscapes in northern Germany, located across parts of Lower Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia. This exact region is now being recreated for the ETS2 Westfalen Map.
The area around Hameln and Emmerthal is currently marked as work in progress (WIP) and represents one of the final major regions still under development.
The Weserbergland is famous for its rolling hills, forests and winding roads. Compared to the flatter landscapes of northern Germany, the region feels much more dynamic. In a simulator like ETS2, that could make driving through the area particularly interesting.
While many ETS2 regions are dominated by highways, the Weserbergland is better known for country roads, small towns and scenic views across the hills. You could imagine it as a relaxed countryside drive mixed with classic trucking routes through smaller towns.
A key location in this region is Hameln, known worldwide for the legend of the Pied Piper of Hamelin. The town sits directly on the Weser River, one of the most important rivers in northern Germany, which flows through the landscape of the Weserbergland.
Nearby Emmerthal, located south of Hameln, is also part of this area. Together they represent a typical mix of small towns, agriculture, industry and nature.

The currently released images are only a sneak peek, and the region is still under development. However, it already suggests that the map aims to capture the distinctive landscape of the Weserbergland as accurately as possible.
Once finished, this could easily become one of the most scenic areas to drive through on the entire Westfalen Map.
Do you know the Weserbergland from real life? Have you ever visited Hameln or Emmerthal? Are you excited to drive through this region in ETS2?
