New high-speed line between Nuremberg and Ingolstadt announced for TSW – but which trains will run on it?

The announcement of the Nürnberg–Ingolstadt high-speed route for Train Sim World immediately sparked excitement among fans.

After all, this line is one of Germany’s most famous high-speed railways, allowing speeds of up to 300 km/h.

However, beyond the route itself, players are naturally interested in another question: which trains will be included?!

Some details about the rolling stock have already been revealed.

One of the main trains will be the DB BR 101, a well-known German Intercity locomotive. It will operate together with the coaches used on the München–Nürnberg Express.

These include several specific passenger cars:

• Bpmmbdzf 286.3 – the cab control car
• Apmmz 126.1 – the first-class coach
• Bpmz 295.4 – the second-class coach

This setup allows the route to feature not only high-speed operations but also the fast regional and intercity services that run between Nürnberg and München.

Of course, a high-speed route would not be complete without an ICE train.

It has been confirmed that an ICE BR 403 will be included. The train will receive some updates to refresh its appearance and functionality.

This means players will be able to operate both high-speed ICE services and fast intercity operations on the route.

Another interesting detail concerns the München–Nürnberg Express cab car.

If players own the Expert DB BR 101 add-on, the cab car will also receive Expert-level functionality.
