Two ideas keep appearing in CTS discussions! Bus lanes and a metro system in CTS?
The City Transport Simulator continues to grow and evolve. Updates and improvements regularly spark discussions among players. Alongside official updates, there are also many ideas coming directly from the community.
Two of them appear again and again.
The first one involves bus lanes.
In real cities, dedicated bus lanes help public transport move more efficiently through traffic. They allow buses to bypass congestion and stay closer to their schedules. Implementing such a system in the game could influence the entire traffic flow. Buses might be able to bypass traffic jams or use dedicated routes designed specifically for public transport.
The second idea goes even further: underground transport.
Many players suggest that the game could eventually include a metro system or underground tram stations. This would be especially interesting near major hubs such as a central station. In many real cities, trams or metro lines move underground in busy areas to reduce traffic congestion above ground. Underground stations could open up completely new areas of the map and expand the transport network beyond the surface streets. Of course, systems like these would likely require significant technical work.
But that is exactly why they are exciting ideas for the long-term future of the game.
Both concepts share a common goal: deepening the public transport simulation.
Bus lanes would improve realism for bus operations, while underground transport could expand the entire network.
And that is why these topics are worth discussing.
What do you think about bus lanes in City Transport Simulator? Do you think buses should have their own lanes? What do you think about the idea of a subway system in CTS? Would you like to see underground stops?
