Is “The Tram” coming soon? Trams are on the roadmap for The Bus, but will you be able to drive them yourself?

A small detail on the The Bus roadmap has caught the attention of many players: trams. That quickly raises one big question in the community. Will players actually be able to drive them, or will they only exist as traffic?

With the full release of The Bus on March 26, the simulator reaches an important milestone. However, development does not end there. Looking at the roadmap already reveals some features planned for the future.

One of them stands out: AI trams.

Seeing trams mentioned in the roadmap immediately leads to speculation. Trams are an important part of public transport in many cities, so players naturally wonder whether they might eventually drive them themselves.

The current answer is clear: not at the moment.

The roadmap specifically refers to AI-operated trams. That means trams will appear in the city but will not be drivable by players.

Instead, they will function as part of the traffic environment.

The idea is to make the city feel more alive. While players drive buses on their routes, tram lines would run in parallel as part of the broader public transport system.

In addition to trams, another feature planned for the future is tour statistics and evaluation, allowing players to analyze their completed bus routes.
