City Transport Simulator: Does half of the player base really come from Germany?

City Transport Simulator operates within a defined simulation niche. According to Gamalytic, approximately 49,900 copies have been sold, with an estimated range between 31,700 and 68,000. Total players stand at around 50,400, indicating a relatively compact but stable community.

Looking at the country distribution, roughly 50 percent of players are from Germany, while the remaining 50 percent are spread across other countries. Germany therefore represents the largest single market for the game.

If we calculate 50 percent of the total player count of 50,400, we arrive at an estimated 25,200 players located in Germany. This means about every second active player comes from the German market. For a simulation closely connected to German transport concepts, this concentration is notable.

At the same time, half of the community is international, demonstrating that the game extends beyond its domestic core.

How many German players would you have estimated – and does the actual proportion surprise you?
