Fourteen years later: Is Euro Truck Simulator 2 still selling today?
Euro Truck Simulator 2 has now been available for fourteen years, placing it among the longest-running simulation titles. According to Gamalytic, approximately 27.2 million copies have been sold, with estimates ranging between 20.7 and 33.7 million. Total players stand at around 30.2 million, highlighting the scale the game has achieved over time.
The more surprising figure concerns recent activity. In the past seven days alone, about 96,800 copies were sold. For a title released in 2012, this is not a sign of decline but of sustained demand. ETS 2 continues to attract new drivers, supported by ongoing updates and expansions.
Looking ahead hypothetically to 2045, the long-term trajectory becomes an interesting thought experiment. If even a fraction of current weekly sales continued, overall ownership could grow substantially. Of course, this depends on technological evolution, competition and continued developer support.
In summary, ETS 2 remains a stable and commercially active product rather than a relic of the past. How many buyers would you have estimated for the last seven days – and do you think ETS 2 will still be relevant in 2045?
