OMSI 2 has now been available for thirteen years, which is a considerable lifespan for a PC simulation. According to Gamalytic, approximately 484,700 copies have been sold overall, with an estimated range between 329,100 and 640,300. Total players are listed at around 617,500, while the number of owners reaches roughly 688,900.
These figures indicate a stable long-term user base. However, the more relevant question concerns the present: are new copies still being sold today? Looking at the most recent seven-day period provides clarity.
During the last week, 332 copies were sold. For a title that has been on the market for over a decade, this represents a steady, if modest, ongoing demand. It suggests that OMSI 2 continues to attract new players, even years after release.
Rather than being a short-lived trend, OMSI 2 appears to function as a durable niche classic. While the numbers are not comparable to newly released blockbuster titles, consistent weekly sales underline its sustained relevance. How many buyers would you have estimated for the past seven days – and does the result surprise you? Would you have thought that new buyers would still be coming in every week? Do you think OMSI 2 will still be sold in five years? Do you play regularly or only occasionally? Would you still buy OMSI 2 new today?
