Route Advisor Changes in Update 1.58 – Here’s Why SCS Software Updated the System!

Many players noticed the update immediately – and reactions have been mixed. That’s not surprising, considering the Route Advisor is one of the most frequently used interface elements in the game and accompanies you on every single delivery.

SCS Software has now explained why adjustments to the Route Advisor were necessary in the first place. According to the developers, the goal was to modernize usability and make the system more flexible in the long run. Especially with future features and upcoming content in mind, the updated structure is designed to be easier to expand.

Another focus was improved integration into the overall game UI. The new Route Advisor is meant to better adapt to different screen formats while offering a cleaner layout. At the same time, the updated backend structure opens the door for future additions such as more in-game information or new display options during driving.

Even if not everyone likes the new layout right away, the changes are less about visuals and more about building a technical foundation for future updates.
