Millions own it – but how many actually play the Euro Truck Simulator 2?

Before answering that, take a moment and guess. One million? Five? Ten? Or even more? ETS 2 has been around for over a decade, continues to receive updates and expansions, and still appears in Steam’s daily charts. That alone suggests a player base far beyond a small niche.

The second question is just as interesting. Ownership is one thing, but how many players are actually driving at the same time? Especially in the evening hours, when many players log in after work or school, the virtual roads become noticeably busier.

Now for the reveal. ETS 2 has been purchased by approximately 27.17 million players worldwide. That is a remarkable number for a truck simulation. On top of that, peak concurrent player counts in the early evening regularly reach up to 56,000 players at the same time.

These figures explain why ETS 2 remains so relevant even after many years. It is not just widely owned, but also consistently played – day after day.
